Why We Are

   To know wisdom and instruction to perceive the words of understanding…

   To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity…

   To give subtility to the simple, to the young knowledge and discretion.

   One with wisdom will hear, and will increase in learning; one with understanding shall attain to wise counsels; so they may understand a proverb and its interpretation as well as the words of the wise with their dark sayings. (Para-phrase of Proverbs 1:2-6 KJV)

We only cease to learn when we at long last cease to draw breath!

Point blank our society within the land of Yliakum is changing. The question that is posed to us then is this: Will we be the ones subject to the whim and whiles of others or will we be the ones that make our mark upon this new world guiding the destiny of those to come? Ultimately (barring the destruction of this land) the rule will be by the people of these lands and not some hidden power (unless that power is us J). That is why we have formed this guild.

Our initial goal is to form a cohesive band of crafters, merchants, warriors and sundry others to start implementing subtle changes within the economy of the land to bring the price of goods and services to an equitable level to the commodities offered. In other words, “No more masterwork prices for what is common junk!” We will do this by developing our skills and crafts in such a way as to price our familiars to a point where they must improve and become competitive or find other means to secure their livelihood. As we move closer to this goal we may decide to seek the implementation of other changes, but until then who knows?
